SSL were approached by Alex Huckerby to come up with a sound, lighting and DJ equipment solution for a 60th birthday party that he was managing. After a meeting at the venue and the client we had brief of lighting that would create a classy atmosphere and wasn’t too much and sound that was capable for 3 live soul singers. For this events lighting we used a combination Chauvet professional and Robe lighting.

In terms of sound we used a combination of HK audio and Martin audio. For the main PA we used an active HK elements system to fill the space and combined this martin audio stage monitors for the DJ and live singers. We positioned a 12 foot by 8 foot stage as well as an 8ft dj riser and dressed it all in white material and white carpet.

For DJ equipment we set up 2no. Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 decks and 1no. Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus 2 mixer.

An SSL sound and lighting technician was there on the night to programme the lighting and ensure there sound was crisp and clear for the singers and audience.
