Walterz Entertainment Centre is a brand-new state of the art facility which takes pride in providing the most unforgettable experience for each customer. With show-stopping karaoke booths, luxurious ten-pin bowling lanes and a giant selection of great games to make your experience a memorable one! A first for Blackpool, Walterz is the newest, coolest venue for an amazing time with family or friends.

When Partington’s got in touch with us to assist them in creating the audio visual and lighting elements of this project we were more than delighted to help! At SSL Live we understand in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, audio-visual installations have become integral to shaping immersive experiences across various industries. From entertainment venues to corporate events, the fusion of audio and visual elements has the power to captivate audiences and elevate atmospheres.

Our commitment to Walterz, like all our customers, didn’t end with the completion of installation. A rigorous testing and quality assurance process was conducted to ensure that every aspect of the system met the highest standards of performance and reliability. Every component was put through its paces to iron out any potential issues before the big reveal.

They were kind enough to send us this review … “In 2023, Partington’s Holiday Parks invested in a brand-new family entertainment centre at its Newton Hall Site. Walterz incudes ten-pin bowling, luxury karaoke booths, AR darts, shuffleboard and a host of other games, along with bar and dine facilities. Partington’s were delighted to work with SSL Live on the delivery of audio visual and lighting elements of this exciting project. SSL Live met our brief, the team is always quick to respond, delivers on time and were great to work with.”

Tweedl X SSL Live

Tweedl is a platform that enables enthusiasts and members of the public the chance to win amazing experiences in field sports at the very best venues with leading brands/manufacturers.

The owner Sam Hargreaves contacted us via our enquiry form when wanting specialist equipment to begin a podcast. Podcast equipment encompasses a range of tools crucial for high-quality audio production. Tweedl’s aim was to enable anyone the chance to see what amazing experiences these activities offer and perhaps introduce new people into these sports. Sam wanted to ensure that the sound and equipment reflected the professionalism and quality he provides throughout his own business. Investing in this equipment ensures professional-grade podcast production.

Although Tweedl purchased this equipment from SSL Live, we do have the option to hire equipment. SSL Live’s equipment hire provides flexibility, with options for short-term or long-term hires. Our experienced technicians offer support in setup, configuration, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless operation. Whether for concerts, podcasts, or corporate events, hiring equipment from SSL Live guarantees high-quality audio solutions tailored to specific requirements, enhancing the overall production experience.

This is Sam’s review of the service… “My experience with SSL Live surpassed my expectations on all fronts. Their team was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly responsive and attentive to my needs. They guided me through the selection process, taking the time to understand my podcasting requirements and recommending equipment that perfectly suited my needs and budget. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Whether you’re a seasoned podcaster or just starting out, SSL Live has everything you need to take your audio production to the next level.

We are excited to finally announce that we have moved to a new location 70 Mowbray Drive, Blackpool, FY3 7UN.

We had well and truly outgrown our original warehouse and needed a new home to start a new chapter which will benefit both us and our clients as our business and team continues to expand.

As a leading events production and permanent electrical installation company we wanted our new office to showcase the excellent sound and lighting services we can install and provide. Whether this be commercial or domestic, indoor or outdoor, at SSL Live we have the equipment and industry knowledge to be able to exceed your every need.

The creation, design and build of our new office was a collective team project with SSL Electrical and SSL Developments working alongside us throughout the whole process.

More in-person meetings and consultations with clients will be possible at SSL Live thanks to our ne

w office space. We were eager for a space to do this since COVID restrictions have eased and people are ready to meet “in real life” again.

We now have the ideal space for this! We can’t wait to see what the future brings for our sound, stage and lighting company, our employees, and our clients. We look forward to welcoming you in our new home and to enjoy a cup of coffee with us!

With Christmas and New Year behind us. What happened at the beginning of the new year for SSL?

SSL came back to work on the 4th January as a little warm up before a full week. On Sunday the 5th January, The SSL team were down in Bournemouth for the final job of a large install roll out contract. After completing the studios we made the trip back up north on the 6th Jan.

We were then tasked with making noise in the brilliant AFC Fylde ground. We put together a spec of Martin Audio Line Array paired with 6 twin 18 Martin Audio Subwoofers. This was for a large event demonstration in partnership with ScanLite. The demonstration was to show if the system would suit for for an international Womens rugby game held at Doncaster rugby club and to show the mens 6 nations rugby game afterwards on their big screen. All parties were happy with the system. It was great to meet with Scanlite and Doncaster and we hope to move forward with the partnerships.

With many holidays for the team on the horizon this week is all about de-rigging the Fylde Coast,

Preparing for jobs to come and Site visits. Early on in the week we were de-rigging the various events from the

previous 7 days. There was various meetings following on from this in order to get organised for a

busy July. On Tuesday we were up at Manchester Metropolitan University planning and preparing

for their freshers festival and then onto a site visit at blackpool pleasure beach looking at the

technical requirements for the back to the old pool festival in July. Wednesday was exciting for

the team as we were test driving a new vehicle and sorting out all equipment and cross hire for

the upcoming events. We were also prepping our own equipment for the weekends events as

well as the various dry hire jobs we had, getting picked up on Thursday. Thursday and Friday

were more meetings with a number of long standing clients and good friends, on Thursday

morning we were at venues with Passion 4 events discussing sound and lighting requirements. In

the afternoon we were with Frame work events at Uclan preparing for their graduation ceremony.

On Friday we were meeting with good friend Tom at Bevan and Black Ltd, who we met through

Ride Lytham, discussing potential installation projects for his project management company

which has some really interesting jobs on the horizon. At SSL we are very excited about working

with both these clients moving forward in the 2nd half of 2019.

This week SSL have a bit of time to breathe. On Monday we set out to tidy the warehouse and

service all equipment, our lighting team started out getting out our stock of Robe and Chauvet

professional lighting, and taking it apart to service all internal elements and parts. The sound

department ran up our Martin Audio Line array and tested with our IK42 amplifiers expanding our

knowledge of the system. On Tuesday we were sub contracted by another events company to

provide rigging and lighting technicians to jobs around the local area. On Wednesday we had two

morning jobs a generator delivery and power distribution at Preston grasshoppers for their

summer ball. After this we were in Bolton providing signal distribution and TV’s for a ladies day

event at the cherry tree in black rod. Friday SSL teamed up with a long standing client at Ride in

Lytham & six15 for their first after hours event. We set up DJ equipment and added stage

monitoring to their 5 point Martin Audio system that we installed in may. Over the weekend we

were still working with Ride providing sound and lighting and pioneer Dj equipment to their float

for Lytham club day, this was another martin audio system this time consisting of the black line x

series and sx218 subwoofers.
